NZLS e-dealing consultant
The Property Law Section administers the Law Society’s e-dealing consultancy service.
Although Landonline provided business opportunities when it was introduced, it also introduced major change to the way in which law firms conducted their conveyancing practices. To help property lawyers and their staff get the most out of e-dealing, the Law Society appointed a consultant (part-time) in 2004. The consultant, with support from the Section Manager, provides advice and assistance with the conveyancing and practical property law issues which sit alongside e-dealing. This complements LINZ's 0800, online help and the training it offers to law firms.
With the deadline for 100% electronic registraton having passed in February 2009, the service will be reviewed at the end of the year to determine is there is still a need for it.
