Company change of name
Where a release (such as a withdrawal of caveat or discharge of mortgage) is being registered on behalf of a company that has changed its name from that which is on the title, it is sufficient to attach documentation to the A & I evidencing the change of name, such as the new Certificate of Incorporation. The recital in the client part of the A & I should make reference to both names.
For institutional chargeholders where an A & I is not required, and mortgages are assigned from one lending institution to another, there should be evidence of the assignment(s).
