BRANZ is an independent and impartial research, testing, consulting and information company providing resources for the building industry.

ConsumerBuild
ConsumerBuild provides a range of clear, independent and up-to-date information on building, buying, renovating and maintaining houses in New Zealand. The site has been developed jointly by the Department of Building and Housing and Consumer NZ,  with assistance from a number of other organisations who have an interest in helping consumers.

Department of Building and Housing
DBH provides information and guidance on building law and compliance, services including weathertight homes, and advice for tenants and landlords.

Inland Revenue Property Page
Inland Revenue provides information about the tax rules that apply to property, including when you need to pay tax on property sales, GST on rental apartments, and the tax rules for qualifying companies and rental properties.

Land Information New Zealand
Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) is a responsible for land titles, geodetic and cadastral survey systems, topographic information, hydrographic information. It also manages Crown property and the Overseas Investment Office.

Local Government New Zealand
The local government portal site provides links to local government sites around the country as well as links to a range of services and resources offered by local government.

New Zealand Government
The New Zealand govenrment portal links to information, images and resources from all New Zealand government agencies and government funded sites. It has a powerful search facility that accesses all the government websites, as well as topics to browse.

This site is provided by the New Zealand Institute of Architects. It has a Find an Architect facility, information about working with an architect and contract document templates.

New Zealand Institute of Building Surveyors Inc 
This site offers links to building consultants, and information on common problems found in houses, understandable definitions of terms commonly used in industry, and an indexed list of members.

Property Uniters NZ Ltd
This site provides a do-it-yourself property listing venue for anyone interested in buying, selling or leasing property.

QV offers a range of property reports and valuations. 

Real Estate Institute of New Zealand
On this site you will find: latest real estate news, trends in the property market, tips on buying or selling property, contact details of real estate offices, what to do if you have a complaint and sample sale and purchase documents.

Registered Master Builders Federation

The Registered Master Builders Federation represents many of New Zealand'sbuilding and construction companies. Member companies employ more than 15,000 staff and subcontractors, and complete two thirds of all construction work (by dollar value) in New Zealand. 

Terralink International Limited 
Terralink International Limited has the most comprehensive and accurate physical land database of New Zealand, which includes topographic, legal property, aerial/satellite imagery, and addressing data layers.

Weathertight Homes Tribunal 
The purpose of the Weathertight Homes Tribunal is to provide speedy, cost-effective and independent adjudication for leaky home claims brought under the Weathertight Homes Resolution Services Act 2006. All claims relating to leaky homes involve a two-stage process: assessment and resolution. The Department of Building and Housing  deals with the assessment stage and the Weathertight Homes Tribunal handles the resolution stage.
